Mission:

The NAIS Annual Conference is the premier professional meeting for the independent school community. In supporting the overall work of independent schools, the conference offers a wide array of sessions and workshops on current issues in school leadership and governance, management, teaching and learning, professional and personal development, and advancement and communications. In addition, the conference presents featured speakers with national perspectives and expertise on key topics in education and the culture at large.

We promise you an event your company cannot afford to miss. Over 3,000 independent school attendees will make your experience in the NAIS Exhibit Hall worthwhile.

Theme:

The theme for the 2001 Annual Conference is On the Road to Equity and Justice.

At their core, independent schools have always promoted the importance of social responsibility. The best education blends academic rigor and creativity with moral development, character education, and a commitment to both the school community and the larger society. As educators know, this work is a continuous, evolving process — and never easy. As we lean into the optimism of a new era, it’s time to think consciously about our efforts to be inclusive communities, global in our understanding, equitable, kind, and just in our treatment of each other, and clear about the connection between classroom work and service to society.

As the NAIS Principles of Good Practice for Equity and Justice note, "the process of creating and sustaining an equitable and just community requires commitment, reflection, conscious and deliberate action, as well as constant vigilance." Join us in Boston to help steer our schools further along the road to equity and justice — for the sake of the children and society in this brave new century.

Special Exhibit Hall events

Your company can sponsor morning and afternoon coffee breaks, continental breakfasts, and lunch service to get your name recognized. And we set aside special time in our conference program just for attendees to visit the Exhibit Hall. NAIS 2001 will also feature our popular Exhibit Hall raffle drawing, a sure-fire crowd pleaser. Just complete the information on the exhibitor contract if you are interested in participating in the drawing, and gain even more exposure for your products or services.

NAIS must have a registration form filled out for every representative from your company attending the conference. If you choose to send more representatives than your company allotment, you must pay registration fees. Registration fees are the same amount as our school attendees pay. Registration materials will be sent to you in late November.
